Silver collector coin in honour of the Hungarian Folk Dance House Method

The Magyar Nemzeti Bank (Hungarian National Bank) has today issued a silver collector coin ‘Hungarian Folk Dance House Method’ with a face value of HUF 3,000 on the occasion of the addition of the Hungarian method of teaching folk dance to the UNESCO’s World Heritage List.

The Hungarian Nemzeti Bank (MNB) has issued a cupro-nickel collector coin to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Hungarian Scouting Association.

“Gold Florin of Charles I” hungarian gold collector coin

The Hungarian National Bank (Magyar Nemzeti Bank) is issuing a gold collector coin ‘Gold Florin of Charles I’ with a face value of HUF 10,000 in normal and piedfort versions. The piedfort coin is exactly four times the weight of the normal weight coin. The collector coin is the first of the Hungarian medieval gold florin series.

“MASAT-1″ the first Hungarian satellite – cupro-nickel collector coin

The Magyar Nemzeti Bank (Hungarian National Bank) has issued a cupro-nickel collector coin with a face value of HUF 1,000 in honour of the successful launch into orbit of MASAT-1, the first Hungarian satellite. The collector coin is the eighth of a series of coins presenting the technical innovations and inventions of Hungarian engineers and inventors.

Collector coin in honour of hungarian writer of grotesque fiction Istvány Örkény

The Magyar Nemzeti Bank (Hungarian National Bank) is issuing a silver collector coin with a face value of HUF 5,000 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of István Örkény on 5 April 2012, the author’s birthday. The collector coin will be issued as part of the Major Figures of Hungarian Literature series. Earlier pieces of the series paid homage to Miklós Radnóti (2009), Dezső Kosztolányi (2010) and Árpád Tóth (2011).

József Reményi silver collector coin

The Hungarian National Bank has issued a silver collector coin with a face value of HUF 5,000 to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the birth of sculptor, coin designer and plaquette artist József Reményi. The coin has been issued as part of the Europa Coin Programme.

“Imre Madách: The Tragedy of Man” silver collector coin

The Hungarian National Bank has issued the complete series of forint circulation coins with the inscription ‘Magyarország’ (Hungary), consistent with the Fundamental Law of Hungary. The Bank has also issued a 3000 forint silver collector coin to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the publication of The Tragedy of Man by Imre Madách. From 2012, the name of the issuing country on the collector coins will also be changed to Hungary.
